Weddings are cancelled from time to time for a variety of reasons. Should your wedding need to be cancelled please provide us notice of the cancelation in writing. We can only accept notification of cancellation from either partner.
If you cancel your wedding within ten (10) days of having paid your deposit, a full refund of the deposit paid will be refunded within fifteen (15) days of receipt of written notice of cancellation. No explanation or reason for cancellation is necessary during this ten (10) day period.
If you cancel your wedding after ten (10) days of having paid your deposit, any and all amounts paid are forfeited and all commitments to perform your wedding will be considered null and void. Access to Our Wedding Celebration Members Area will be terminated, and any information posted in the Members Restricted Area remains the property of Our Wedding Celebration – Wedding Officiants.
Weddings booked within 45 days of ceremony date, are not eligible to receive a refund.
All refunds are subject to a $50.00 processing fee.
There may be other circumstances that allow you to cancel your Wedding Ceremony Contract after ten (10) days. For more information regarding your rights, duties and remedies regarding cancellation of services please contact the Ministry of Consumer and Business Services.
The scheduled start time of your ceremony has been confirmed at the time of booking and is stated in the Welcome Email received by the couple.
This time maybe adjusted or changed by mutual consent of the couple and the OWC Officiant. The change must be requested and confirmed in writing (email).
We all appreciate that there maybe a modest delay in the actual starting of your ceremony. After all, brides are often fashionably late. A modest delay is less than 10 minutes.
Delays exceeding 10 minutes from the scheduled start time may be subject to an additional fee of $50.00.
Delays 30 minutes or greater may result in the Officiant having to leave and all fees being forfeited. It is at the sole desecration of the Officiant to remain or leave a scheduled ceremony that has not started within 30 minutes of the scheduled start time.
Ceremonies that start 15 minutes after the scheduled start time may be modified or shortened at the sole discretion of the Officiant in order to complete the ceremony in the usual 30 minutes allotted for the average wedding ceremony.
Our Wedding Celebration - Wedding Officiants has established procedures regarding a backup policy to protect couples in cases of emergency when their Officiant is unable to perform their wedding ceremony.
The Officiant will make every attempt to notify the couple (by phone, email or text) to inform them of the reason they will not be available to officiate their ceremony. The Officiant will also immediately inform the Director of Officiants, who will contact the Backup Officiant who will travel to the venue to officiate the ceremony created by the couple.
The couple fully understands and agrees that the Officiant and/or Backup Officiant shall not be responsible or held liable in the event that the Officiant is prohibited from performing the couple’s ceremony due to illness, hospitalization, auto accident, transportation breakdown/disruption, traffic difficulties, acts of God or any other unforeseen incapacitation.
The original start time of the ceremony may be delayed, but OWC guarantees to send a Backup Officiant to arrive at the ceremony venue as soon as possible to the original Start Time of the Ceremony as agreed upon.
